Required Qualifications: One year of recent experience as a Nurse Educator Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications: Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position Summary: A Nurse Educator is responsible for creating and leading educational programs to support clinical staff development and promote evidence-based nursing practice. Blending clinical experience to facilitate orientation, competency development, continuing education and quality improvement initiatives. The Nurse Educator works closely with nursing teams, leaders, and other departments to make sure every clinician has the tools and knowledge needed to provide quality care to patients. Essential Work Functions: Design and implement educational programs tailored to nursing staff needs, including orientation, continuing education, and competency assessments Lead orientation and onboarding for new hires Serve as a resource for evidence-based practices, clinical protocols, and policy interpretation Support nursing staff with professional growth and development Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify areas for improvement and implement educational strategies Ensure that educational programs meet the standards set by accrediting and regulatory bodies as well as facility policies and procedures Implement strong proficiency in adult learning principles and teaching methodologies Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings Perform other duties as assigned within scope Required Essential Skills: Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills The ability to read, write, & communicate in the English language is required Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills Physical Abilities - Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bending Interpersonal Skills - To work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism Technical/Motor Skills - Ability to grasp, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment. Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public, customers, and meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally as well as working without assistance from other personnel. Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail Sensory - Visual acuity, ability to effectively communicate.
