Position Overview: The Med-Surg unit at Mount Sinai Hospital provides high-quality nursing care to adult patients with medical and surgical needs. The Clinical Nurse (RN) delivers safe, competent, and evidence-based care, integrating nursing theory, research, and organizational standards. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, critical thinking in care management, interdisciplinary collaboration, patient/family education, and participation in quality and safety initiatives. Requirements: Licensure: - NYS RN License – Required Experience: - Minimum 2 years RN experience – Required - Minimum 2 years medical/surgical experience – Required - EPIC EMR experience – Highly preferred Education: - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred - Associate degree in Nursing accepted with relevant experience or active BSN matriculation Certifications: - BLS (AHA) – Required Unit & Patient Details: - Unit: Med-Surg – Mount Sinai Hospital - Unit Beds: 35 - Average Daily Census: 33–34 patients - Patient Age Group: Adults - Patient Ratios: Variable based on census Scheduling & Float: - Every other weekend coverage - May float to MSW/MSM as needed HonorVet Technologies Job ID 31470161.
