qualified Rehab RN in New York City, New York, 10019! Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Rehabilitation
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 11.5
Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in rehabilitation and
medical-surgical nursing License: Active Registered Nurse license
in Client Certifications: BLS, CRRN preferred Must-Have: - 2 years
of rehabilitation and medical-surgical experience - EPIC experience
preferred - BSN preferred; Associate degree in nursing considered
with relevant experience or active enrollment in a BSN program
Description: The Clinical Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse
who provides safe and competent quality care based on nursing
theory and research. Delivers patient care by incorporating the
principles of Relationship Centered Care. Assesses and evaluates
patient care needs and applies critical thinking in patient
management. Integrates relevant assessment and intervention skills
in the delivery of nursing care. Collaborates with the
interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop, implement, and
evaluate the plan of care. Prioritizes all aspects of patient care,
including teaching, rounding, coaching, and planning after hospital
care. Educates patients and caregivers about their plan of care,
health promotion, and disease prevention. Communicates effectively
and professionally with patients, families, and all team members.
Manages assignments within the Care Delivery Model and demonstrates
effective allocation of resources. Supports patient experience
through facilitation of a variety of actions, including admissions
and bedside reporting. Considers patients' values and preferences
in all aspects of care. Establishes and maintains therapeutic
relationships with patients and families. Uses evidence-based
practices to enhance understanding of patients' perceptions of
care. Initiates service recovery for patients and families with
concerns and escalates when necessary. Demonstrates empathy and
active listening through dialogue, body language, and actions.
Conducts purposeful rounding on assigned patients addressing key
aspects of care. Practices safe patient-centered care while
identifying barriers and opportunities for improvement.
Demonstrates clinical skills crucial to quality and safety in the
patient population served. Implements evidence-based process
improvement strategies. Collaborates with teams to create and
implement quality improvement projects and nursing research
studies. Documents nursing practice to support quality and
performance initiatives. Utilizes principles of high reliability to
promote a safe environment for patients. Performs charge nurse
duties as assigned and coordinates with clinical managers to ensure
resource availability. Escalates material or staffing issues to
appropriate management. Documents accurately to comply with
standards of care. Facilitates patient throughput on shift basis.
Contributes to the care environment that supports colleagues,
patients, and families. Advances clinical competence from novice to
expert levels. Projects a professional image and communicates with
care and respect. Incorporates ethical principles into
decision-making for patients and families. Participates in shared
