Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Home Health - Discipline: RN - Duration: Ongoing - Employment Type: Staff Registered Nurse Locations: All Five Boroughs of New York City /nShifts Available: /n /n - 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM /n - 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM /n - 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM /n - 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM /n /n/n/nPosition Summary /nWe are seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) to support individuals in residential programs throughout New York City. The RN will play a key role in coordinating healthcare services, supervising staff, and ensuring the well-being of individuals served./n/n/nKey Responsibilities/n /n - Serve as a member of the interdisciplinary team, coordinating and following up on healthcare services /n - Arrange medical services and issue referrals as needed /n - Provide follow-up care for medical concerns /n - Conduct staff training on topics such as medication administration, hygiene, infection control, and first aid /n - Monitor and manage communicable diseases and infection control protocols /n - Participate in team meetings, annual reviews, and case conferences /n - Maintain and monitor staff health records in compliance with regulatory requirements /n - Provide immediate first aid and coordinate emergency care /n - Maintain accurate medical documentation for each individual /n - Administer medications and supervise certified staff in medication administration /n - Supervise and mentor LPNs and less experienced RNs /n - Maintain nursing office supplies and cleanliness /n - Transport individuals to medical appointments as needed /n - Conduct home visits as requested /n - Stay current with nursing best practices and regulatory updates /n - Perform other related duties as assigned /n /n/n/nQualifications/n /n - Current New York State RN license and registration /n - CPR/BLS certification /n - Strong oral and written communication skills /n - Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills /n - Ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively with staff, individuals, families, and external contacts /n - Familiarity with adaptive equipment and assistive devices /n - Willingness to work across various program sites /n - Valid New York State Driver’s License preferred but not required /n /n/n/nEducation & Experience/n /n - Graduate of an accredited nursing program /n - Preferred: At least 1 year of experience providing community-based health services to individuals with developmental disabilities /n /nINDNYN /nAC1 /nACNYN/n
