WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a local contract CT Technologist for a local contract job in New York, New York. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CT Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Local Contract WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a CT Technologist at a Prestigious Imaging Center in Bronx, NY. Job Function: - Day Shift. - 8am - 4:30pm. - Correctly chooses appropriate patient information from HIS/RIS system in accordance with HIPAA regulations. - Positions patient and radiographic equipment appropriate to the body part(s) to be radiographed and adjusts equipment settings accordingly to ensure maximum information is obtained. Answers all questions that the patient may have. - Performs transmission and/or segmentation for transmission to PACS in a complete and proper anatomic display. - When doing cases that require immediate results such as Code Grey, Trauma and Partial Trauma the images will be acquired, processed, sent and verified/completed in PACS / RIS system per established protocol l(Immediately after acquisition for Code Grey). The CT technologist will notify the radiologist as Code Grey images are being sent and follow with any processed data after. All staff should notify the radiologist of ANY unusual finding to provide the optimum care for the patient. Job Requirements: - 2 years of CT Tech experience. - Experience in Cardiology a plus. - BLS from the American Heart Association required.
