Job Description Physician Assistant – Dermatology (Per Diem / Coverage Role) Position Type: Per Diem / As Needed Schedule: Day shifts only Hours: Variable, based on coverage needs Pay Rate: $95–$100/hour (flexible and negotiable based on experience) Setting: Dermatology practice Shift Requirements: No nights. No weekends. Overview A dermatology practice is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant with a strong dermatology background to provide as-needed coverage for staff PTO and leaves of absence. This role is designed for a PA who can step into an established clinical workflow and deliver high-quality dermatologic care with minimal onboarding. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive dermatologic care for established patient populations Perform dermatology-focused assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning Manage follow-up visits and ongoing patient care during coverage periods Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the EMR Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure continuity of care Adhere to clinical protocols and best practices Qualifications Active Physician Assistant license in good standing Extensive, hands-on dermatology experience required Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to coverage needs Strong documentation and communication skills Prior experience covering PTO or LOA preferred Additional Details Flexible, as-needed scheduling Day shifts only No call, nights, or weekends If you’re a Physician Assistant with substantial dermatology experience looking for flexible, well-paid coverage work, this role offers straightforward scheduling and a focused clinical environment.
