Job Description:
Special Procedure Technologist (Flouroscopy and X-ray Tech for
Cath Lab) Full-time / Evening Flex / Rotating Schedules
NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital Columbia University Irving Medical
Center – Milstein Building As a special procedure specialist in the
Cath Lab, you will play a crucial role in performing fluoroscopy
and X-Ray procedures. This includes ensuring that imaging equipment
functions properly, prepping contrast injections, and managing
image uploads to PACs and EPIC. This role primarily follows an
evening flex schedule, three days a week. Key Responsibilities: -
Perform fluoroscopy, X-ray, and interventional radiology procedures
in the cath lab - Prep and administer contrast injections safely. -
Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring high quality
diagnostics images. - Upload images to PACS and EPIC. - Ensure
sterile technique and follow infection control standards. - Support
efficient patient flow and minimize delays. - Perform other job
duties as needed Required Criteria: - High School Diploma or GED. -
Graduate of an accredited Radiography program. - New York State
licensure in Radiography. - Minimum of one year experience in
Diagnostic Imaging. - Proficient in EMR, RIS, PACS, Modality
specific software. Preferred Criteria - American Registry of
Radiologic Technologists certification in Radiography. Maintains
continuing education credits per American Registry of Radiologic
