Registered Nurse (RN) | Interventional Radiology Location: Brooklyn, NY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,873 per week Shift Information: 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 12 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Interventional Radiology RN in Brooklyn, New York, 11213! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: 2 years critical care experience License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: - Knowledge and competency of both interventional and diagnostic procedures. - Ability to fully utilize electronic record systems and relevant healthcare systems. - Good interpersonal skills. Description: Utilize the nursing process in the provision of direct patient care. Responsible and accountable for prescribing, delegating, and coordinating all care provided to assigned patients. Delivery of care is based on established standards of care and practices. Diagnose and treat human responses to actual and potential health problems through services such as case finding, health teaching, health counseling, and provision of supportive or restorative care. Supervise patient care provided by licensed practical nurses, registered nurses on permit, nursing attendants, technicians, and supplemental staff. Assess the immediate and continuing care needs of the patient and their significant others. Develop comprehensive and current plans of care which include physical needs, patient teaching, and psychosocial/spiritual needs. Provide direct patient care based on assessed needs and the medical regimen. Oversee and ensure the provision of all aspects of care for the patient. Supervise the care provided by other nursing personnel as defined in the scope of practice. Observe, evaluate, document, and communicate to relevant team members the patient's response to illness and therapeutic modalities. Ensure timely reassessment of patient responses to treatment and when significant changes occur in the patient's condition. Coordinate the overall plan of care to ensure implementation of nursing interventions and consistency with the medical regimen. Establish priorities for care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team and initiate follow-up as needed. Accept responsibility and accountability for nursing interventions and outcomes based on professional clinical judgments. Participate in quality improvement activities related to patient care delivery and the development of nursing standards. Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively, manage stressful situations appropriately, and facilitate interpersonal relationships with other disciplines. Participate in the orientation of nursing staff. Assume charge responsibilities as delegated by the Nurse/Manager designee. Ensure appropriate coverage of all patients by assisting and relieving coworkers, and working on other units as assigned. Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and staff. Serve as a clinical resource for student nurses. Participate in meetings, committees, conferences, and educational programs. Participate in research and pilot projects supported by the Nursing Department. Demonstrate responsibility for continuing professional growth and education, including attendance at staff development programs and pursuing appropriate professional certifications.
