Internal Medicine/Family Medicine Physician Opportunity Near FLUSHING, NY Job Summary: A thriving healthcare organization near FLUSHING, NY, is actively seeking a skilled Internal Medicine or Family Medicine trained physician to join their team. This permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care by providing a full scope of primary care services. Responsibilities: Patient Care: Review patient history, conduct physical examinations, and evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients. Refer patients to specialists as needed. Prescribe medications and formulate ongoing treatment and disease management plans. Provide relationship-centered care, considering both psychosocial and physical needs. Clinical Skills: Demonstrate quality clinical diagnostic skills in delivering patient care. Review all test results and recommend suitable management, including preventive health recommendations. Record Keeping: Collect and record patient information, maintaining complete and accurate medical records. Communication: Communicate effectively with the clinical team to ensure the total delivery of quality care. Professional Development: Participate in medical staff educational programs and meetings. Qualifications: Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), or foreign equivalent. Completion of a three-year postgraduate medical training from a U.S. accredited residency program in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. Board Eligible/Board Certified in Internal or Family Medicine. Current, unrestricted New York State license. Active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or eligibility for registration. Active Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment or eligibility to enroll. BLS or ACLS required. Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
