Medical Director - Family Nurse Practitioner Division HC -
Providers (Advanced Practice) Location New York, New York
Employment Type Permanent Medical Director to oversee and lead the
clinical affairs of a community health FQHC - positions available
in Manhattan, Queens or the Bronx. Employed position with
competitive compensation plan and benefits (health, dental, vision,
disability), retirement plan, expenses for license/dues/CME,
generous PTO plan, paid medical malpractice including tail
coverage. Job Description: Compensation : $152000 - $171000 Job ID
: 39207 Job Function: See primary care patients, ages 0-100,
medical directors do approx. 80% clinical and 20% administrative
responsibilities. Generally 1 day for admin 4 days of patient care
(some telehealth). Oversee clinical examinations of providers who
provide care to patients at the site. Reviews all problem cases to
determine best course of treatment. Communication with HR and Chief
Medical Officer, Director of Primary Care on any important
staff-related or patient-related issues. Meet with leadership to
evaluate efficiency, productivity and performance of staff.
Participate in monthly provider conferences. Oversee NPs as well as
precept in the NP training program. Job Requirements: NY State
license, DEA, CSR (active or applied preferred) but not required.
Training as a Family Nurse Practitioner Bilingual language skills
in Spanish preferred, not required. Preferably previous community
health/FQHC experience. Disclosure: The hourly rates and/or
