DIETITIAN - Full-time Roles & Responsibilities: Under the direction
of the Clinical Nutrition Manager, provides quality nutrition care
and education to patients and family members. Assesses the
nutritional status of patients and recommends the appropriate
nutrition therapy as it pertains to the patients’ nutritional
needs. Provides nutrition counseling to patients and family members
as indicated. The dietitian is responsible for activities that
support patient-focused care within their assigned patient units.
Adheres to department and hospital philosophies, standards,
objectives, and policies and procedures. · Evaluates the
nutritional status of patients by reviewing pertinent information
obtained from the electronic medical record and the
interdisciplinary healthcare team. Applies knowledge of nutrition
screening and assessment to specific patient populations to
determine their nutritional needs. Conducts nutrition-focused
physical exams and maintains working knowledge of malnutrition
diagnostic criteria and treatment. · Documents pertinent findings
in the medical record as per policy. · Provides quality nutrition
counseling to patients and family members as indicated. · Evaluates
nutrition care plans for effectiveness and recommends changes as
needed. Uses professional judgment to adapt and apply guidelines,
protocols and professional standards of care to the new and
changing needs of the patient. · Participates in interdisciplinary
rounds as needed. Communicates effectively with members of the
healthcare team. · Assists with discharge planning as needed. ·
Precepts dietetic interns and instructs them on the competencies
required to complete their assigned rotation. Provides feedback for
incorporation into student evaluations. · Participates in projects
within the department, including providing education via
nutrition-related in services, interdepartmental nutrition
programs, lectures, and community-focused programs. · Other duties
as assigned. Requirements: Registered Dietitian (RD) from the
Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required, NYS CDN
preferred 1-2 years’ experience preferred Data Entry and computer
proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel Microsoft Outlook
Excellent organizational, problem solving and analytical skills
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

The salary range for this role is $39.56 - $41.9347 Hourly. Actual
salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience,
education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate
listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or
