Doctor of Medicine | Neurology - General/Other Location: Hackensack, NJ Employer: HPA Healthcare Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Contract Duration: 2 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Position Overview One of our Partner in New Jersey is seeking a Board-Certified Cognitive & Behavioral Neurologist to provide part-time outpatient locum coverage while the facility recruits a permanent provider. The neurologist will work collaboratively with two physicians directly and approximately 30 physicians indirectly within the department, providing specialized care in memory, cognitive function, and behavioral neurology. There are no procedures required , and the role is fully outpatient with a flexible weekly schedule. This is clinic only Seeing ages 22 and older. Most are geriatric. Days are flexible but they need at least 4 days per week. Typical cases seen are Alzheimers Dementia Parkinsons related dementia and cognitive impairment This position offers top-of-market compensation , reflecting current 2025 New Jersey locum trends for subspecialty neurology — Pay Ranking: Top 5% of market (2025 data). Assignment Highlights Joint Commission–certified agency placement (HPA Healthcare) Start Date: February 1, 2026?? End Date: December 31, 2026 Schedule: 2–3 days per week, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Setting: Outpatient clinic only Procedures: None required Team Structure: Works with 2 neurologists directly; 30 faculty indirectly Support Staff: Clinical MA and RN support available EMR: Epic Call: None Travel: Prepaid travel, lodging, and ground transportation Malpractice: Occurrence coverage provided Pay Ranking: Top 5% of current market for Cognitive/Behavioral Neurologists (2025 data) Skills & Experience Board Certified in Neurology (ABPN) Completed Cognitive and/or Behavioral Neurology Fellowship (required) Active New Jersey medical license. Will consider unlicensed. DEA and CDS licenses (required) Experience managing cognitive, behavioral, and neurodegenerative conditions (e.g., Alzheimer’s, dementia, frontotemporal disorders) Strong patient communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills Job Responsibilities Conduct outpatient evaluations for cognitive and behavioral neurological disorders Develop individualized treatment plans and ongoing patient management Collaborate with internal neurology, psychiatry, and neuropsychology teams Contribute to multidisciplinary conferences as needed Maintain documentation in Epic EMR in accordance with hospital policy Support the department’s mission while providing coverage during recruitment
