Registered Nurse (RN) | Wound/Ostomy Location: Bronx, NY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $3,277 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/14/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Wound/Ostomy RN in Bronx, New York, 10457! Job Title: Wound Care RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Wound Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8H Days Hours per Shift: 37.5 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, WOCN or WCEI Must-Have: Inpatient clinical experience, preferably in wound care Description: Department: Wound Care Consults handled: Approximately 20 consults per day plus follow-ups for the whole team. Mondays and Fridays are the heaviest days for consults. Workload is divided among unit members. Common diagnoses include pressure injuries, diabetic ulcers, vascular wounds, surgical wounds, and ostomies. Primary focus is on inpatient settings. Typical job duties include reviewing consults, dividing workload with peers, conducting patient assessments (head-to-toe), and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. Team members consist of doctors, social workers, and other registered nurses. Responsibilities also include placing wound care orders and providing patient education. Equipment used includes KCI wound vacs and various wound care dressings. Management consists of a manager and director overseeing wound care operations. Shifts generally run Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM or 9 AM to 5 PM. Weekend and holiday work is optional. There are no call or standby requirements. Floating to various inpatient areas may be necessary as needed. Scrub color is royal blue or casual dress.
