The Division of Nephrology at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert
Einstein College of Medicine is recruiting a Nephrologist to join
our faculty. Responsibilities will include providing inpatient and
outpatient care for a large and diverse population of patients with
acute and chronic kidney disease and teaching medical students,
residents, and Nephrology Fellows. Candidates with experience in
research and/or strong interest in participating in research are
preferred. Candidates must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in
Nephrology. The Einstein-Montefiore Division of Nephrology has a
distinguished history of innovation in research, clinical care, and
education, and is one of the nations’ leading academic Nephrology
divisions. The Division faculty are a vibrant, supportive, and
rapidly growing group, currently consisting of 30 full-time members
with diverse expertise in clinical nephrology, medical education,
and basic and clinical research. The Division provides clinical
care for a patient population with extraordinary racial/ethnic,
socioeconomic, and cultural diversity. This diversity is also
reflected in the wide array of kidney diseases treated by our
physicians and our faculty are engaged in research to develop
innovative strategies for the treatment and prevention of
progressive kidney diseases in socioeconomically disadvantaged
populations. Our faculty also provide care for a large population
of patients with end stage kidney disease, and we are home to one
of the region’s largest and most successful kidney transplant
programs. Divisional faculty are actively engaged in a diverse
array of funded research programs spanning basic and translational
research into the pathogenesis of kidney diseases, epidemiology,
and clinical trials to improve the care of patients with kidney
disease. Conversational fluency in Spanish is preferred. Rank and
