Maintain an active clinical caseload, delivering individual and group counseling through trauma-informed, person-centered approaches that honor each person's unique journey. Supervise a team of 5 Behavioral Intervention Specialists across both residential and day programs – guiding their professional growth and ensuring consistent, high-quality care. Work as a key member of our interdisciplinary team alongside nurses, physicians, psychiatrists, and social workers to deliver seamless, coordinated care. Develop training curricula and deliver staff education on behavioral interventions – building the skills of everyone around you so the whole team can deliver better outcomes. Participate in Human Rights Committee meetings and incident reviews, and ensure full compliance with OPWDD regulations and quality assurance standards. We require: A Doctorate in Psychology (Psy.D) and current NYS licensure. A minimum of two years of post-doctoral experience providing clinical services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. A clean and valid NYS Driver's License. Demonstrated skill in conducting Functional Behavior Assessments and developing comprehensive Behavior Support Plans. Experience supervising clinical staff and delivering professional training. We prefer: Experience working across both residential and day habilitation settings. Familiarity with OPWDD regulations, Human Rights Committee processes, and Justice Center reporting.
