Job Description Position Summary The Service Coordination
Supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision and support of
the service coordination team within the Early Intervention
Program. This role ensures that service coordinators are
effectively managing their caseloads, complying with New York State
Early Intervention Program regulations, and providing high-quality,
family-centered support. The supervisor plays a key role in
mentoring staff, monitoring performance, ensuring documentation
accuracy, and fostering collaborative relationships with families
and providers. Role Description Supervise day-to-day operations of
the service coordination department, ensuring compliance with
NYSDOH Early Intervention Program regulations (10 NYCRR Subpart
69-4) Provide direct oversight and guidance to a team of service
coordinators, including training, mentoring, and performance
evaluations Review and approve service coordination notes and
documentation in a timely manner to ensure accuracy, completeness,
and regulatory compliance Ensure service coordinators meet all
mandated timelines for initial service coordination, IFSP
development, service implementation, and transition planning Serve
as a resource to coordinators for managing complex cases and
resolving service delivery issues Coordinate and facilitate regular
team meetings and individual supervision sessions Collaborate with
Program Leadership, Clinical, QA, Evaluation, and Billing teams to
ensure integrated service delivery Participate in audits, quality
improvement initiatives, and workflow development for continuous
improvement Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing
development of service coordination staff Maintain strong
relationships with families, providers, and outside agencies to
support child- and family-centered service delivery Required
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (required) in social work,
psychology, special education, public health, or a related human
services field Minimum 3 years of experience as a service
coordinator within the New York State Early Intervention Program
Strong working knowledge of EI regulations, systems (such as EIHub,
IRMA), and documentation requirements Proven leadership or
mentorship experience, with the ability to support and develop a
team Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational
skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention
to detail in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Microsoft
Office and electronic case management platforms Bilingual language
skills a plus (especially Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, or Russian)
