The Department of Neurology of Northwell Health is seeking BC/BE
full-time Movement Disorders Physicians, to provide superb clinical
care, participate in innovative care models, engage in
collaborative research, lead progressive community programs, and
contribute to the teaching of medical students, residents, and
fellows. As the Movement Disorders program is rapidly expanding, we
are looking for additional faculty members to join our
multi-disciplinary team with full time opportunities available at
the following locations: - Long Island: Nassau County: - Glen Cove
Hospital (Glen Cove, NY) Suffolk County: - South Shore University
Hospital (Bayshore, NY) - Manhattan - Lenox Hill Hospital
(Manhattan, NY) - Westchester - Phelps Hospital (Sleepy Hollow, NY)
About the Program Northwell’s Parkinson's and Movement Disorders
program is among the largest in the Northeast, and provides
comprehensive medical, rehabilitative, and surgical care in its
primary academic locations and care centers. The surgical program
includes an active deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) program and
High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU). The Parkinson’s and
Movement Disorders Center multidisciplinary team includes
specialty-trained, board-certified neurologists and neurosurgeons,
as well as nurse practitioners, nurses, neuropsychologists and
social workers. The Center closely collaborates with Northwell’s
Rehabilitation Network, including occupational, physical, speech
and other therapists, all dedicated to helping people with
Parkinson’s disease lead active and satisfying lives. We have also
established at Glen Cove Hospital in Long Island a unique,
dedicated, and specialized 12-bed Parkinson's and movement
disorders inpatient unit, which offers advanced rehabilitation
services and medical and surgical optimization to patients with
more advanced disease and is integrated with the DBS program for
post-surgical programming combined with intense rehabilitation and
medication optimization. The program has recently received Joint
Commission certification, and it has affirmed itself as the leading
inpatient program in the US. The Department of Neurology has seen
tremendous growth over the past five years across all regions, with
the goal of providing comprehensive, integrated health care and
wellness services. Inclusion within the service line offers the

academic, teaching, world class grand rounds, conferences and the
ability to discuss and share cases with experts in every
subspecialty. At Northwell Health’s Institute for Neurology, we
have three hospitals ranked in the top 50 in U.S News & World
Report (North Shore University Hospital being the highest at 22 in
the nation) as well as four comprehensive stroke programs, 11
primary stroke centers and 1 thrombectomy capable center. Candidate
Qualifications: The successful candidate will ideally possess the
following qualifications and experience: - D. Degree from an
accredited institution (ACGME or foreign program that is similarly
appropriately accredited) - Completion of Neurology residency and
Movement Disorders fellowship - Must be Board Certified/Board
Eligible - Must be licensed or eligible to be licensed as a
physician in the State of New York Incentives include, among

Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges
from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors,
including but not limited to physician specialty, level of
experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient
experience and productivity. The base compensation range listed is
a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the
