Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is
seeking a Dental Assistant III within the Pediatric Dentistry
Department at the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine ( RSDM ). Under
the direction of the Clinical Supervisor, the Dental Assistant III
will support the department by providing clinical assistance for
the Department of Pediatric Dentistry / Special Care Treatment
Center. Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Serves as a Dental Assistant to assist Faculty and Postgraduate
Students with patient care, set up and stock units daily to avoid
delays in patient care. Reports equipment malfunction or breakdown
to Clinical Supervisor. Transports instruments to/from
sterilization in accordance with the RSDM Infection Control policy
and protocol. Maintains safe and clean working environment by
adhering to RSDM infection control policy and departmental
protocol. Assists with the ordering of supplies as needed. Ensures
patients are seen in a timely and efficient manner, and maintains
patient confidentiality. Overview New Jersey’s academic health
center, Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences ( RBHS ) takes an
