An exciting leadershipopportunity for an experiencedCathLab Nurse is now available in theGreater New York City Metropolitan area.This Assistant Manager of Cardiac Cathwill help lead 2 labs and 15 employees.This Assistant Manager of Cardiac Cath Labwill work with the hospitals Level II Trauma Center, which is the second busiest tin the state of Maryland seeing over 3,000 trauma patients per year. They will collaborate with the designated STEMI center with a comprehensive Cardiac Care Program including 24-hour cardiac catheterization and open-heart surgery capabilities for all acute heart emergencies the only hospital in the area to provide these services.The hospitalwas among the first in Maryland to be designated a Cardiac Intervention Center for heart attack victims.The Medical Center is a general medical and surgical hospital with 325 beds. The CathLabs are housed in astate-of-the-art Intensive Services Pavilion along with 10 operating suites, a 25-bed intensive care unit, and an special procedures unit. The hospital received a consumer ratingas being among the top 5 percent of hospitals across the nation for successful outcomes and is along with its sister hospital isranked among U.S. News & World Reports Best Hospitals in the Washington DC Metropolitan area. The not-for-profit integrated health system alignsthree member institutions plus several affiliates.The Assistant Manager will functions as a professional role model and resource person under the supervision and in collaboration with the Nurse Manager and Nursing Director. The role includes being the designated clinical leader for the CardiovascularCathLab, providing staffand utilizing staff appropriately, matching assignments with patient care needs and competencies; is accountable for cost effective decision-making regarding utilization of resources. (i.e., human resources, patient care environment, supplies, etc.) and day-to-day operational decision making; participates in the development of patient care standards; facilitates staff orientation and continuing education; participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of the quality improvement plan; and maintains a clinical environment that demonstrates service excellence.The hospital is actively seeking qualifiedcandidatesand is motivated to move quickly.
