Wellness Works Management Partners is helping one of their clients (local Pediatric Occupational Therapy Program) find a New Jersey Licensed Pediatric Occupational Therapist for a part-time outpatient clinic opportunity. This position has an opportunity to grow into a full-time employment opportunity. Here are the nuts and bolts of this opportunity: Availability: The clinician must be available a minimum of 3 afternoons per week (3 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.) availability is preferred. There are opportunities to expand hours and days as the caseload builds. This position also has the ability to grow into 30 billable hours per week with compensation between $70k-$90k once producing 27-30 billable hours per week. Please note that this position only includes paid sick leave. There are no health benefits or additional time off benefits. Residency/Mentorship Opportunity: If you are a clinician that brings great pediatric exposure but does not meet our clinical experience requirement, you may qualify to participate in a special 3 month mentorship/residency program that is non-reimbursed but will gain clinical expertise in pediatrics and upon graduation of our residency, you will qualify for a job opportunity. Please note that this opportunity does have a selection process. In addition, the 3-month residency is voluntary so there is no reimbursement. In addition, residents are required to take specific courses with a cost of approximately $500 of outside learning. Upon graduation and a job offer, candidate may be eligible for a "sign on" bonus. Location: Chatham, NJ Client Demographic: The practice treats children from infancy through school age with challenges related to diagnoses such as Developmental Delay, Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, Anxiety, neurological disorders, language/speech impairments, Torticollis, Chronic Otitis and auditory processing challenges, reflux, constipation, sleep problems, allergies, and more. Job Functions: Conducting initial assessments of new clients to determine the appropriateness of OT services. Preparing written summaries of assessment findings for presentation to families. Meeting with families to report on assessment findings and review written Conducting individualized treatment sessions and, to a lesser extent, group treatment sessions with clients during which your strong foundation in the following skill sets will be drawn upon: sensory integration, fine motor skills/handwriting, gross motor skills, muscle tone and postural control, motor planning skills, visual perceptual skills, executive functions, social-emotional intervention, self-regulation and behavior modification. Documentation of treatment sessions with supporting clinical notes. Communication with parents regarding therapy carryover at home following treatment sessions. Communication with teachers and other involved professionals as necessary to facilitate the therapy process in the home and school environments. Conducting regular periodic meetings with families to report on progress of therapy and receive parent feedback Managing your client caseload around clients' school and extracurricular activities to ensure treatment is provided consistently as recommended in the initial treatment program. Job Requirements: Must Have Experience In Pediatrics (Prefer 2-3 years in Pediatrics with at least 1 year in private practice setting) If clinician does not have experience, they may apply for a 3 month voluntary residency (non-paid) inorder to gain necessary experience. Current New Jersey Occupational Therapist Licensure (OTR/L) / NBCOT Certification As Well M.S. in Occupational Therapy H1B Sponsorship is not available Must currently reside in New Jersey Near Morris, Essex, and Union Counties. Available Afternoons (3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.) at least 2 days per week Available Saturdays is a plus!
