Job Description:

This role will provide leadership, accountability and culinary vision for caf . Develops menus, recipes and concepts for caf . Utilizes benchmarking, feedback and margin analysis to drive menu development, pricing strategies and product mix. Ensures consistency and food safety and high level of quality. Trains, coaches and motivates caf team. Continually seeks and communicates methods for process improvement to increase efficiencies and customer loyalty.What You ll Do: 1. Drive culinary vision and menu development Engineers menu themes and concepts specifically for caf demographic to drive business and to meet revenue goalsWorks with vendors frequently to capitalize on seasonal and negotiated municates recipes, portioning and merchandising details to kitchen staffTrains and follows up on execution.Seeks input and feedback on menus from management, cooks, and customers, continually seeks opportunities to improve the customer experience.Benchmarks with peers to identify best practices and keep trend awareHolds team accountable for quality control and value perception 2. Manage margin analysis, pricing strategy and merchandise mix Sets and maintains margin targets that drive pricing strategies Maintains value perception while increasing profitability Balances margin ratios between prepared and non-prepared merchandise 3. Ensure consistency in quality, value and service Ensures consistency in food quality, portioning, pricing and service. Manages production and service training for cafe Monitor s safety and sanitation procedures for compliance with all guidelines form OSHA, Department of Public Health and Risk Management 4. Develop and motivate staff Develops and motivates kitchen team to continually upgrade skills and food knowledge. Conducts weekly kitchen meetings to discuss business, gather input, review feedback, and introduce new initiatives Provide performance feedback on consistent basis Provide training and coaching as needed to direct reports for performance improvement Holds team accountable for all job requirements and responsibilities
