Job Description:

Support the growth of the Estee Lauder Companies' Travel Retail (TR) group by driving execution of major business development projects and developing targeted business intelligence on the TR market. Ensure tight collaboration with key stakeholders from across the TR Worldwide (TRWW) organization: TR Global Brands, Regions and Functions (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain). RESPONSIBILITIES: Business Development (65%)

  • Assess incoming high potential, transversal business development projects to pursue, including new disruptive models, joint business plans for key accounts, strategic commercial go-to-market opportunities, multi-brand initiatives
  • Develop approach to evaluate and track business development opportunities (e.g., key assessment criteria, governance process, lead tracking)
  • Oversee key business development opportunities (end-to-end): build initial business plans (upside and investments), develop detailed workplans and drive execution (main focus) of the highest priority centrally-led projects
  • Provide periodic (2x/year) updates to senior management on summary results and learnings from key business development opportunities Business Intelligence (35%)
    • Identify, assess, and ensure proper roll-out and adoption of new capabilities developed by 3 rd party vendors (e.g., air passenger vendor) and ELC Corporate teams (e.g., ELC Enterprise Marketing and Data)
    • Analyze key market information, share out resulting insights and make data accessible to the TRWW community
    • Develop fit-for-purpose business intelligence tools that can be broadly utilized by multiple TR teams, working in tight collaboration with the TRWW BI&A team
    • Oversee the annual market reporting process (end-to-end), including producing the capstone annual report on the state of the TR market; generate periodic post-Covid recovery and air passenger trends reports Qualifications
      • Undergraduate degree required, MBA preferred
      • 8+ years of related experience, at least 2 years in strategy consulting (preferred)
      • Project management experienced (preferred)
      • Excellent analytical foundation, used to working in imperfect data environments; strong attention to detail
      • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
      • Passion for moving from concept to implementation: unafraid to 'dig into the details' (operationalization)
      • Self-starter: able to prioritize own activities and work across multiple projects in parallel
      • Resourceful: able to drive to solutions and identify alternative paths forward to overcome "roadblocks
      • The anticipated base salary range for this position is $113,500.00 to $195,000.00. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results as well as participation in the share incentive plan.
