Job Description:
Team Supervisor Lower East Side Family Union is currently
seeking an experienced Team Supervisor to join our team in New
York, NY (10009). (Hybrid Work Model) Job Summary:Provides clinical
and administrative supervision to Case Planners, Case Aides and
Interns. Duties and Responsibilities:Core duties and
responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be
assigned by management.Provide counseling and case management
services for clients, including assessment, service plan
development and implementation, and crisis intervention.Maintain
frequent and face-to-face contact with clients in the family home.
Make visits as required in the community (school, hospital) to
assist and support the family as required. Maintain timely and
accurate progress notes and client records. Document
progress/obstacles in meeting service plan goals.Attend agency
sponsored meetings, supervisory sessions, trainings/workshops, and
family team conferences.Prepare and accurately complete timely
reports (FASP, etc.) for submission to ACS. Assist with statistical
data regarding services to clients; provide vignettes, client
summaries or other report information as needed.Foster the
preservation of family relationships through counseling and
engagement of the family members. Help clients identify resources
in their respective neighborhoods; make home/field visits and
assess safety.Participate in community sponsored meetings and
maintain a collaborative relationship with community service
providers and city agencies.Maintain complete and current case
records, documenting service to clients.Perform all other duties
and responsibilities as assigned by Team Supervisor or member of
the Supervisory Council.Participate in Team Meeting.Education and
Experience:Minimum of graduate is required or a master's in social
work is preferred.Minimum 2 year of experience working in a social
setting.High school graduates or College graduates are
welcome.BS/BSW, MSW or related degree preferred in Psychology,
Human Services and or Social Work.Relevant knowledge of ACS Foster
Care Regulations.Relevant knowledge and experience with mental
health, substance abuse and domestic violence a plus. Relevant
knowledge of Child Welfare plus. CASAC certification a plus. Skills
and Abilities:Must have a commitment to work from a strength-based
perspective.Must be a team player and can work independently and
promote a positive and enthusiastic work environment.Possess
excellent organizational, verbal, written and communication
skills.Possess an ability to use MS Word, spreadsheets, and
familiarity with PROMIS and CONNECTIONS is a plus, but not
required.Ability to interact, and work with culturally diverse
individuals.Ability to establish professional boundaries and engage
in professional behaviors that emulate a high level of ethics and
objective/non-judgmental approaches.Candidate must possess
