Job Opening:We are in search of a dedicated and enthusiastic Sous Chef to join our team at Atoboy. The ideal candidate should possess a strong work ethic, a hunger for learning, and a desire to grow within our restaurant's environment. This individual will play a key role in maintaining high standards across various aspects of kitchen operations, from food preparation to service execution.

This position will directly report to the Chef de Cuisine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the culinary team effectively throughout all stages of service, ensuring preparedness, focus, and post-service improvement.
  • Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of growth and development.
  • Communicate tasks clearly, manage priorities, and oversee timely task completion.
  • Ensure stations are set up for service success.
  • Maintain food quality and consistency.
  • Assist in inventory management, including ordering and quality control.
  • Supervise back-of-house team members, from recruitment to training.
  • Develop and implement operational systems for efficiency.
  • Uphold high standards of health and safety.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team on menu enhancements.
  • Coordinate with front and back-of-house managers to align with overall restaurant objectives.Requirements:
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Sous Chef role.
    • Passion for creating exceptional guest experiences through culinary mastery.
    • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while ensuring quality.
    • Proficiency in all aspects of cooking and kitchen best practices.
    • NYC Department of Health Food Protection Certification.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workplace.
    • Knowledge of Korean cuisine is a plus.Physical Demands:
      • Ability to lift up to 25lbs if required.
      • Proficient use of kitchen tools and equipment.
      • Ability to stand and walk throughout shifts.Benefits:
