Baker / Pie Maker The full-time baker and pie maker position is a creative and fast-paced position requiring professional baking experience, namely baking pies, and an eagerness to learn new techniques and to grow with the business. All of our baked goods are small batch and made from scratch. Bakers are responsible for making pies, cakes, brownies, cookies, pastries, pot pies, quiche, etc. and have a hand in every stage of the process. Candidates are expected to have a knowledge of commercial equipment, knife skills, conversion and measuring skills, and be able to follow established recipes and techniques. NYC Food Handlers' Certificate is necessary. Being able to work well with others, while also being able to work independently is an important skill in our small kitchen. We have a pleasant and positive attitude at the Blue Stove and we're proud of our work. It makes for a more enjoyable workday, as well as a more enjoyable experience for the customer.
