Additionally, responsibilities will include the calculations of incentive compensation for various comp plans, which requires a solid understanding of client service functions within the asset management business.Responsibilities: Compensation

  • Track, analyze and forecast firm wide compensation for reporting and budgeting purposes and provide context for variances
  • Track and analyze benefit related expenses, including 401k
  • Track awards and calculate disbursements for various deferred compensation plans
  • Participate in the Year End - Firm Wide Compensation Review
  • Answer questions related to compensation from employees
  • Partner with HCM on the tracking of compensation related information
  • Crosstrain with payroll department Commissions
    • Calculate, review and analyze monthly commission accrual expense by department and provide to The Controller's group in a timely manner. Explain and provide analytics relevant to month over month variances
    • Calculate actual commission amounts (monthly quarterly and annually) for client services by employee and provide details in a timely manner to payroll for processing. Explain and provide analytics relevant to actual vs. accrual estimates, as well as, current vs. prior period variances
    • Assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly & annual comp statements
    • Answer related questions from Client Services employees
    • Research any related issues
    • Provide ad-hoc reporting
    • Identify opportunities to improve or automate work that results in more accurate commission payments and/or reduces cycle time of commission processesRequirements:Minimum 4+ years compensation/commission experience in the asset management industry
      • Extremely high attention to detail
      • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
      • Excellent communication skills
      • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
