Job Title: Sr Director HR Business Transformation Job Location: Sunnyvale, CA or Remote POSITION SUMMARY: At Cepheid, we are experiencing a period of tremendous growth as the direct result of successful go-to-market strategies, geographical expansion and new product introductions. These three core strategies, along with the improvements generated through our Danaher Business System (DBS), will be important to continue the improved efficiency, productivity and growth of our business. To support this trajectory as well as the organizational evolutionary needs which accompany such growth, we are seeking Director HR Program Management, Business Transformation. This senior level HR partner and project manager will focus on the organizational design and development, strategic workforce planning, change management, planning, and execution HR related aspects of our business transformation efforts. This role is seen as succession potential to many of our HR leadership roles. Candidate ideally would have aspiration, ability, and agility for such career path. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Partner with the Sr Director Strategy & Business Transformation, senior leaders, and HRBPs in developing the roadmap, action plans and tracking mechanisms for the HR workstream supporting various business and functional areas in strategic growth initiatives. Partner with external consultant and business leaders to take insights and design proposals into detailed roadmap and plans to address footprint and resource investments to deliver growth. Provide project leadership in evaluating the organizational roadmap and strategic workforce planning, organizational implications, action plan, and delivery partnering closely with Finance and HR business partners. Partner with HR leadership team, on evaluating HR processes, systems, and resource needs to support growth and scalability leveraging the Danaher Business System (DBS). Facilitate organizational design, change management assessment and planning, and implementation of change plans in tandem with leadership. Benchmark with other Danaher Operating Companies or external companies to leverage tools, materials and processes enhancement to scale the HR function for growth. Develop proposals with key stakeholders. Plan and lead implementations. Create detailed project plans with timelines and outlining milestones and deliverables to keep projects on task. Set up a consistent reporting and daily management cadence as well as accountabilities from and roles / responsibilities of key stakeholders. Facilitate execution of sub-workstream action plans and activities across multiple regions. Deploy and facilitate a global change management tool based on the details of the organization and the group(s) being impacted by the change, including HR. Drive engagement, communication, governance, cadence, and alignment of accountabilities through deliberate and intentional communication strategies with the support of the organization. In partnership with our Internal Communications Director, develop, build, and deliver detailed communication plans and content throughout the project lifecycle. Identify areas of potential risk and anticipated points of resistance and develop specific plans to mitigate or address concerns. Support the execution of plans by collaborating with business leaders and responsible HR Business Partners. May be leveraged to lead other projects or programs as needed. Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time Seen as succession potential to many of our HR and program leadership roles including pipeline for SVP. Candidate should have aspiration, ability and agility for such career path MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Industrial Psychology, or Business Management required. 10+ years of related experience; Some experience as HR Business Partner or HR Operations is preferred. Must be experienced in providing project leadership in the scale up of large, complex organizations including a focus on change management Knowledge and skills: Leadership: Willingness and ability to work both tactically and strategically through both internal process improvement projects as well as complex global projects. Ability to influence decision making with or without authority, facilitate groups with diverse perspectives, across geographies, and bring teams to agreement. Strong interpersonal skills that build productive relationships and influence others across the company. Strong self-leadership demonstrating self-awareness, initiative and humility Communication: Ability to interact with all levels of the business, exceptionally good listening skills, ability to present complex or new ideas with clarity and simplicity. Teamwork: collaborate effectively with others in the spirit of common objectives. Planning and Execution: Excellent project management and prioritization skills including attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment Able to deliver results in a shifting environment. Analytical Problem Solving: Able to identify problems and leverage a structured and disciplined methodology to identify root cause. Ability to bring clarity, structure, and actions to ambiguous plans and challenges. Innovative and effective solution development, risk mitigation and execution. Experience in a senior HR Business Partner/Leader role ideally in a global environment, with broad experience in coaching, change leadership, HR project management and program implementation Thorough understanding and application of HR principles, concepts, practices and standards, federal, state and local laws, statutes, etc., which govern employment policies and practices Working knowledge of MS Office, strong capabilities in MS Excel Strong business acumen Able to work flexible schedules occasionally to accommodate global work teams.
