Reporting to the VP, Rewards & HR Operations, the Director, Compensation & Benefits will play a key role in defining and executing our compensation & benefits strategy. You will lead the team on designing, implementing, and communicating competitive compensation and benefit programs aligned with Vroom's total rewards program. Responsibilities

  • Compensation Management
  • Design, review, evaluate, and manage compensation programs by collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure programs are performance driven and market competitive
  • Lead the development and execution of short- and long-term compensation plans based on corporate goals and growth objectives
  • Participate in designing, implementing, and administering executive compensation plans; support preparation of materials needed for presentations to senior leaders and the Compensation Committee
  • Drive bi-annual employee compensation planning activities, including the merit review cycle, promotions, and bonus and equity awards
  • Lead the design of compensation & equity award structure and job evaluation process to determine classification and appropriate salary ranges in each region
  • Design sales incentive plans that are aligned with the company's business objectives and talent strategy, while ensuring the achievement of consistent and market-driven levels of compensation
  • Guide HR Partners and leadership on policy and guideline interpretation, pay decisions and job evaluations
  • Design and monitor the ongoing effectiveness of incentive compensation plans and recommend design changes as needed
  • Retirement and Benefit Plans:
  • Plan, design, implement and administer a comprehensive benefits strategy including work/life balance programs and innovative benefit plans
  • Develop, lead, and execute employee health and wellness programs including 401k, LOA administration, workers' compensation & ACA compliance
  • Foster wellbeing and rewards programs that connect the employee to the Company and community, provide education for physical and financial wellness and improve employee engagement
  • Lead annual benefits renewal process and handle the analysis and modeling of proposed changes to determine cost and business impact
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of benefit plan offerings and identify and recommend potential program design and/or carrier changes
  • Develop and deliver strong implementation and change management plans for new and existing program enhancements or changes Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree with a focus in human resources or business administration
    • 10+ years' experience managing compensation and benefit programs; knowledge of federal, state and local regulations (e.g. ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FLSA)
    • Experience managing international compensation and benefit programs a plus
    • 3+ years' experience managing and leading a team
    • Experience utilizing Radford's compensation methodology and job leveling a plus
    • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to develop and present comprehensive, complex data
    • Experience using Workday, including the compensation management features is highly desirable
    • Possess strong communication and influencing skills
