Job Description ABOUT US New York Edge is a non-profit
organization and one of the largest providers of school-based
afterschool programs in New York City and the metropolitan region
serving over 25,000 elementary, middle, and high school students
each year. The mission of New York Edge is to help bridge the
opportunity gap among students in underinvested communities by
providing programs designed to improve academic performance, health
and wellness, self-confidence, and leadership skills for success in
life. The Role New York Edge (NYE) is looking for a part time HR
Generalist to manage our off boarding process and handle
unemployment claims. In this position the Off Boarding Coordinator
will work under the supervision of the Benefits Manager to ensure
that the functions are carried out timely and accurately. In
addition, this role will be responsible for responding and
submitting the supporting documentation for any unemployment claims
that are received by our third party vendor. Job Type: Part-Time,
Year Round Schedule: Mon-Fri, 25 hours a week Pay Rate:
Commensurate with experience. $20 - $25 hrly Job Responsibilities:
Notify Payroll if separating employee is in possession of NYE
property Ensure return of all equipment (laptop, phone, keys)
Notify IT to deactivate all systems Review and respond to
unemployment claims Gather relevant information to respond to
company vendor Create tracking system to ensure data integrity
Provide monthly status update to supervisor Knowledge of the rights
and obligations of claimants Communicate with management to discuss
separations reason Responsible for maintaining all records of
reason terminations (voluntary and involuntary). Other duties as
assigned Requirements: Ability to multitask, incorporating
excellent analytical, organizational skills and flexibility, to
prioritize work and deliver the maximum result Strong technical
acumen and the ability to adapt/learn new systems Ability to
interpret laws, rules, regulations, and procedures pertinent to the
work. Knowledge of computer systems and programs. Minimum 2-year
college degree; bachelor degree preferred. Exceptional relationship
building and communication skills Covid-19 Related Requirements:
Must provide proof of vaccination against the Covid-19 virus. Must
be able to adhere to all federal, state, and local mandates
regarding the Covid-19 virus which include but are not limited to
wearing PPE and remaining socially distant whenever possible. At
