Job Description:
A very Large company in Whitestone, Queens, NY is looking for a
Payroll Specialist that has some Human Resources experience to join
their Team.

Position Summary:
The Payroll Administrator will work directly under our Associate HR
Manager and manage the day-to-day payroll administration and
provide support in various other HR related tasks. This role is
detail orientated and requires the ability to accurately perform
data entry tasks, problem-solve and troubleshoot payroll issues,
and work against set deadlines.
Responsibilities:
Manage the administration of Bi-Weekly Payroll through ADP
Workforce Now including but not limited to the tasks below:
Input biweekly payroll adjustments
Process Timecards for Hourly Employees
Track and update any 401k changes
Process new hire enrollments and terminations
Review bi-weekly payroll to confirm there are no errors
Follow up with Timecard Manager's for missing approvals or to
resolve Timecard errors
Ensure all necessary payroll documents are completed and submitted
prior to making any adjustments, such as W4's, Direct Deposit
Change Requests, etc
Identify and troubleshoot payroll errors, working with ADP Call
Center as issues arise to seek resolution of problems, log and
follow up any open cases until resolution. Work against tight
payroll deadlines ensuring follow up and action is taken on errors
to guarantee payroll is not delayed
Escalate high-level payroll errors to Associate HR Manager and
assist as needed
Import and process bi-weekly 401k Contributions from ADP into
Nationwide's System
Produce payroll reports as need for various HR and Financial needs;
work with ADP Call Center to customize and create unique reports as
they are requested
Review current payroll processing procedures and make any
recommendations on the need to adjust, make better, or change any
current practices; make suggestions to Associate HR Manager for
further evaluation
Provide support in New Hire Setup process for new hires, promotion
or job changes, and terminations of employees (Full-Time, Part-Time
and Interns)
Reconcile Monthly Benefit Bills
Manage the upkeep and organization of electronic employee files
Assist with HR related inquiries and any other ad-hoc project
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree required; Human Resources preferred
2-3 Year's Human Resources Experience
Strong organization skills
Comfortable handling and having knowledge of sensitive and
confidential information
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Prior Experience with a payroll system, ADP Workforce Now
preferred
Personal and Professional approach and demeanor
Team Player
Takes initiative to problem solve
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Position requires possible in-person attendance at annual company
retreats/meetings in New York and Orlando (or other locations as it
may vary year to year)
