Job Description:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Compensation
Manager to join our team. In this role, you will support client
groups in our global Functions, partnering with the organizations
leaders to execute the AIG compensation strategy in alignment with
the business priorities. This role reports to the VP Compensation
of our Global Functions.What you'll do:
- Provide up-to-date market intelligence on competitive
compensation trends and practices for the assigned lines of
business.
- Partner with Recruiters to model and develop competitive offer
packages for internal and external hires
- Partner with Business Leaders and HR Business Partners to
evaluate employee compensation positioning
- Communicate compensation package elements, including base pay,
incentive, and equity plans to managers and employees.
- Manage and coordinate participation in salary surveys; analyze
market data results to determine competitiveness of overall pay
levels, domestically and internationally
- Assess job levels/grading based on the scope of
responsibilities and evaluate against internal criteria; utilize
external and internal benchmarking data for job pricing
- Respond to inquiries regarding plan, policy, job evaluations
and market data from HR Business Partners, Hiring Managers, and
Recruiting colleagues
- Contribute to the establishment of guidelines and procedures
for various compensation-related processes
- Work with the broader compensation team on a variety of
projects including program design, analysis, budgeting, and
implementation of new programsWhat we're looking for:
- 10+ years of progressive compensation experience preferably
within the financial services industry and/or large corporate
environment
- Proven deep understanding of total compensation including base
pay and variable pay programs
- Demonstrated experience designing, developing, analyzing, and
implementing a variety of compensation plans and structures,
including salary structures and incentive pay programs
- Solid understanding of the external competitive market and the
regulatory and compliance environment
- Strong financial background and business acumen
- Adeptness in critical/conceptual thinking skills, combined with
the ability to synthesize information to see the big picture while
effectively managing details
- Strong project management skills with the ability to navigate
through ambiguity and drive projects to completion
- Workday experience preferred
- Bachelors Degree; Masters Degree a plusFor positions based in
Jersey City, NJ, the base salary range is $123,000 - $163,000. For
positions based in in New York City, the base salary range is
$140,000 - $175,000. For positions based in California, the base
salary range is $130,000-$172,000. In addition, the position is
eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable
