Edison, NJAbout the role The Payroll & Benefits Manager will be
responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of benefits and
payroll projects within AAK USA. The primary goal will be to ensure
the successful delivery of projects related to employee benefits
programs, such as open enrollment and payroll systems. You will
collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, including HR, finance,
IT, and external vendors to achieve project
objectives.Responsibilities Project Planning: Develop detailed
project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and
budgetary considerations, to ensure the successful implementation
of benefits and payroll projects.Stakeholder Management: Identify
and establish strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Collaborate with HR, finance, IT, and external vendors to gather
requirements, align objectives, and ensure effective communication
throughout the project lifecycle. Understand and include the
employee experience in the stakeholder management process.Project
Execution: Oversee the execution of projects, ensuring adherence to
project plans, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation
strategies to keep projects on track.Vendor Management: Evaluate,
select, and manage external vendors and service providers.
Coordinate vendor activities, negotiate contracts, and ensure
deliverables meet the organization's
requirements.Continuous/process Improvement: Identify opportunities
for process optimization and automation within benefits and payroll
operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline
workflows, enhance efficiency, and improve overall employee
experience.Compliance and Regulation: Stay up to date with relevant
labor laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements related to
benefits and payroll. Ensure project deliverables and processes
align with legal standards and industry best practices.Reporting
and Documentation: Generate comprehensive project reports,
documentation, and presentations to provide updates to
stakeholders, senior management, and other relevant parties.
Maintain accurate project records and ensure knowledge transfer to
relevant teams.Change Management: Facilitate change management
activities to ensure smooth transitions during the implementation
of benefits and payroll projects. Develop communication plans,
conduct training sessions, and provide support to human resources
business partners and employees affected by system or process
changes.Systems Management: Oversee the payroll system and related
software applications. Ensure data integrity, troubleshoot issues,
and work with IT or vendors to resolve any technical problems.
Implement system upgrades or changes as needed.Daily process backup
for benefits and payrollAbout you Bachelor's degree in Human
Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (or
equivalent work experience).Proven experience in project
management, particularly in the areas of benefits administration
and payroll systems implementation.Proven experience in processing
multi-state payroll; an understanding of union related time and
attendance and payroll is a plus.Strong understanding of employee
benefits programs, payroll processes, and related compliance
requirements.Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to
manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks
effectively.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a
keen attention to detail.Exceptional interpersonal and
communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively
with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all
levels.Knowledge of applicable labor laws, tax regulations, and
compliance requirements related to benefits and payroll.Familiarity
with UKG and Cornerstone are highly desirable. Expertise using
Excel will be helpful.Certification in project management (e.g.,
