As a member of the Total Rewards Centre of Excellence (CoE) and PLP
(People Leadership & Performance) Global COE, design and implement
the organization’s compensation programs and activities so that
they meet the organization’s objectives with regards to internal
equity and external market competitiveness. These programs may
include job levelling; job titles, job architecture, short-term &
long-term retention plans; broad-based compensation including base
pay and short term incentives. Liaise with functional or
operational area managers to develop and implement local
compensation strategies that are appropriate for their business
needs, but consistent with the organization’s overall Total Rewards
strategy. Analyze and evaluate external market data as well as
internal data about the organization’s current employee population
and future human resource needs to develop salary budgets and
forecasts that are consistent with the organization’s Total Rewards
strategy with a focus on pay equity. Provides guidance to HR
partners on application of Total Rewards policy. As part of the
global Rewards COE, assist in creation, implementation, and
localization of rewards initiatives, including strategy, process,
communications, and technology. Relationships Reports to the
Associate Director, NA Total Rewards. Frequent interaction with
global and local HRBPs, GPOS, Talent Acquisition, Global Rewards
and Mobility, GBS teams, line of business, Ask HR, external vendors
and consultants. Essential Functions Applies competitive total
rewards strategies and tools to attract, retain and reward
employees based on analysis of compensation market trends and
complete statistical studiesManage and support the business to run
the annual recurring processes across the regionProvides guidance
to specific functional areas; analyzing market trends, completing
statistical studies, and developing recommendations and action
plans designed to attract, retain, and reward employees. May
partner with outside consultants in developing custom surveys, when
necessaryAssist with the annual market analysis of all jobs in
order to facilitate the annual compensation PlanEvaluate new and
revised jobs using market data; assigns global job level and
ensures consistency within global job architectureParticipate as an
extended team member on expansions and department
restructuresProvides advice and counsel to HRBPs and management on
compensation related issues including development of job
descriptions and job families; provide counsel and direction
relative to promotion increases, internal transfers and new hire
offersParticipate in or lead global Total Rewards & Mobility CoE
projects and other initiativesEnsure adherence to company policy
with regards to fair & equitable pay positioning, fairness,
transparency and consistencyActively participate in leading
industry groups or advisory committees to stay current on rewards
related items in the pharmaceutical industry as well as obtain or
maintain certifications & credentials. Utilize knowledge to
forecast and prepare for future needs of assigned functional areas.
Physical Requirements The job requires 10-20% overnight travel,
including occasional international travel. There are no additional
physical requirements beyond standard office activities such as
sitting, typing, and attending meetings. Qualifications High School
Diploma or GED required with 11 years of relevant experience;
Bachelors degree from an accredited university or equivalent
education with 7 years of relevant experience highly preferred;
Advanced degree and/or CCP/GRP may be substituted for two years of
relevant experience when appropriateCertified Compensation
Professional (CCP) or Global Remuneration Professional (GRP)
certification preferredA minimum of 6 years of progressively
responsible experience within Human Resources, preferably within
Total Rewards functionsA minimum of 3 years of compensation
experience required; North America pharmaceutical compensation
experience preferredAbility to work cross-collaboratively in a team
environmentAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access,
PowerPoint, and OutlookCompensation system experience preferred
(i.e., Success Factors, Market Pay, SAP HR)Demonstrated leadership
skills and cross-functional team facilitation experienceExcellent
written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrates extensive
knowledge and understanding of compensation theory, techniques, and
practicesStrong analytical and negotiation skills The base
compensation range for this position is $116,810 to $216,100. Base
compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This
position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual
and company performance. Novo Nordisk offers long-term incentive
compensation and or company vehicles depending on the position's
