Job Description:
New York based fixed income sell side dealer is looking for a
senior Database Administrator to maintain the firms Oracle
database. The role will be responsible for managing the flow of
data throughout its lifecycle from initial creation to
destruction.Responsibilities:* Perform database administration
tasks including analyze, develop and maintain OLTP Oracle 12.2/19c
databases * Perform database provisioning, creation, modifying and
managing data, schema, table space, troubleshooting and performance
tuning* Maintain databases, clusters and replications for the
development, productions and backup environment* Provide database
metrics, such as growth and usage of capabilities, and recommend
new capabilities as needed* Create and maintain scripts to support
database housekeeping tasks Requirements:* The ideal candidate will
be a motivated individual with strong analytic and problem solving
skills in a high energy and fast pace trading environment. * BS in
Computer Science* At least three years hands on experience in
supporting Oracle database in a linux environment* Linux shell
scripting, perl script* Self-driven, teamwork with strong work
