Position Summary: Are you an excellent Technical Architect looking to join a dynamic team? As the Tech Lead of Customer Applications, you will lead NBA's engineering efforts across multiple products and lines of business. You will be part of a growing Application Development team that handles NBA applications for Internal and External Users. The current technology stack primarily consists of C#/ASP.net, SQL Server with the use of a variety of JS frameworks. The ideal candidate is senior technologist passionate about Mobile app and Mobile web technologies. You will be a major contributor to the development of enterprise applications with a focus on mobile application platforms. You will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious growth objectives. We are looking for a highly hardworking technologist comfortable with a variety of technologies. You will recruit and develop our own internal team of engineers and coordinate our external development teams. You must be comfortable switching between multiple projects, both leading as a manager and contributing as an individual.-- This position reports into the Customer Applications, Group Leader, IT. Major Responsibilities: Technology & Architecture

• Contribute to our overall architecture; Within the business's eco-system of inter-dependent technology there will be places that don't have an architecture; take it, own it, drive it
• Ensure alignment to enterprise architecture and enterprise platforms when delivering projects
• Help implement the Enterprise Data Architecture for NBA in multi-functional alignment with the Data teams across functions like Marketing, Finance, HR etc.
• Evaluate the readiness of new capabilities in Big Data and Fast Data to support critical operational processes Agile & Business
  • Understand Agile artifacts and develop applications based upon business priority.
  • Document requirements and assist in the ongoing support of applications.
  • Collaborate with project partners to ensure all requirements are met.
  • Partner with technology peers within the organization and build multi-functional alignment Mobile Engineering
    • Specialist understanding of various Mobile app platforms and development tools
    • Contribute to the Mobile platform architecture and development
    • Provide senior leadership during application design and development for projects across numerous lines of business and shared technology.
    • Effectively evaluate RFP's from various vendors
    • Ensure cross-collaboration with sister teams in other geographies
    • Provide oversight for budgets and project plans
    • Work with and manage onsite and offshore Engineering Teams
    • Manage technology risks and issues Skills/Knowledge:
      • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Management of Info Systems/Technology
      • 10+ years of total experience in software engineering or a related field
      • 5+ years of experience in a highly regulated industry
      • 3+ Years of experience leading product engineering teams
      • 3+ years of experience in developing Mobile applications for iOS, Android and web Technology & Architecture
        • Experience building microservices
        • Experience with the full Microsoft Azure stack and other cloud technologies is a plus
        • Experience with architecting applications (e.g. Design Patterns, Distributed Applications, etc.) with the aim of reuse
        • Strategic problem solver that can design innovative digital product, combined with tactical ability to execute simultaneously against multiple competing priorities.
        • Eagerness to learn new technologies and bring new ideas to the table
        • Passion for Automation and appetite for Acceleration
        • Keen knowledge of DevOps as well as RPA is a big plus Agile & Business
          • Background in agile software development and Scaled Agile Frameworks
          • A true believer in measuring success based on working software and in quick prototyping
          • Ability to code and spin up a snippet of code quickly
          • Someone with an iterative approach, and the drive to adapt quickly and think big
          • Demonstrated ability to partner and communicate effectively with non-technical team members, resolving competing or contradictory objectives, and unifying disparate ideas into a homogenized solution
          • Possess the ability to influence others, implement change, and standardize processes in a sophisticated business environment
          • Superb communication skills (both written and verbal)
          • Ability to translate ideas into solutions based on user and business needs Mobile Engineering
            • Experience with Native mobile (iOS, android) or hybrid mobile frameworks (e.g. React Native, Phone Gap etc.)
            • Experience in developing mobile-first UI (Responsive and/or Adaptive technologies)
            • Experience managing internal and external teams at the same time, working with multiple brands and digital properties of varying maturities
            • Ability to handle multiple projects and re-prioritizations
            • A passion for mentoring and growing the potential of others
            • Ability to effectively and appropriately interview technical candidates
            • Great teammate - should be ready to go beyond to help the immediate team and not be averse from asking for help if needed. Education:
              • Bachelors Degree or equivalent. Masters would be a plus.
