Job Description:

Softheon is looking for a Senior Systems and Network Administrator to join the IT team in providing IT operational systems and network infrastructure design, maintenance, and support. The functions attributed to this role are inclusive of efforts related to design, planning, implementation, maintenance, analysis, and operational monitoring of the Information Technology Stack on which the service offerings supplied to Softheon's operational teams and customers is run. The Senior Systems and Network Administrator aids in the development, monitoring and troubleshooting of our systems processes as well as develops necessary documentation to support their continued operation.

The ideal candidate for this role is a person whose interest is focused on problem solving and determining satisfactory solutions. A Senior Systems and Network Administrator must also be very willing and able to communicate cross functionally. As this position requires that one work closely with all teams to report and make recommendations on common sources of technical issues, findings, or questions. In addition to this, the Senior Systems and Network Administrator is an individual who is constantly on the lookout for ways to improve and upgrade network infrastructure architectures to enhance and support a rapidly evolving, cross-functional environment.

Key Responsibilities (include But Not Limited To)

• Administer, develop, maintain, secure, grow, evaluate for enhancement, and promote the availability of Softheon's multiple colocation data center technology stacks powered by Microsoft Windows Server frameworks, Microsoft Active Directory, and Dell and Cisco Networking
• Troubleshooting, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing/implementing solutions to resolve complex problems with networked systems, applications, and components
• Providing direction and mentorship to assigned team members while also taking charge in developing optimization strategies
• Monitor, promote, and maintain/restore the uptime and availability of critical systems using internal and external tools
• Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware and software implementation, upgrades, and optimization in a timely manner
• Work cross-functionally to identify, diagnose, and evaluate end-user workstation, organizational system, network, and account issues to develop effective mitigation and repair methods
• Work hand in hand with other members of the IT department to effectively communicate insights and plans with internal staff and third-party vendors
• Stay up to date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems
• Effectively engage with external vendors through various communication methods to communicate requests or issues as needed
• Regularly perform systematic analysis of network utilization and traffic flows, system and service configuration, and utilization of managed accounts to develop appropriate corrective actions when necessary
  
  Requirements
  
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with a GPA of 3.5 or higher
  • 5-7 years experience in positions of relevant capacity
  • Detail oriented to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while managing simultaneous projects. The Senior Systems and Network Administrator must have experience with Microsoft Server Administration and be proficient in the following
