About the Position
NYFA has an opportunity for a full time onsite/remote director of technology, reporting to the executive director, to oversee all aspects of software strategies, tech project management, IT vendors and consultants in furtherance of programs and digital platforms. The main focus of the job is the daily maintenance of the website, the roll out and integration of online tools, CRM adoption and facilitating IT operations.

Key Responsibilities
Work with senior staff to develop strategies and roadmaps for NYFA's digital platform which encompasses NYFA's core services and program areas (fiscal sponsorship, online resources, professional development, financial services, grants and entrepreneurial learning) and integrates such strategies with existing productivity tools
Lead a diverse team of tech consulting experts and external partners to support all of NYFA's departments to achieve their goals by leveraging the right technology and digital tools in alignment with budgetary considerations, priority maintenance, and IT infrastructure improvements
Define, direct and manage software development projects for NYFA's website and internal tools
Oversee daily operations for IT-related services, including end user technologies and IT service management to ensure business continuity, information security, and IT related compliance.
Monitor, manage and ultimately prevent service failures and/or degradation
Play a key role in bug tracking, management, and deployment schedules/cycles of daily operations and major project deliverables
Help manage integration of productivity tools including but not limited to Neon, Financial Edge, Submittable and Asana

Secondary Responsibilities
Maintain ongoing knowledge of industry trends and use that knowledge to determine the most efficient ways to meet business needs
Build an internal IT team to ensure related services scale and support growth in existing and future organizational initiatives
Work closely with stakeholders to develop business and technical requirements, and to deliver solutions based on those requirements. This includes configuration, maintenance, administration, automation, and integration with other systems
Internal customer service support

Qualifications and Skills
Must have a proven track record of successful software launches, particularly web applications. Must have a successful record of managing highly productive teams
At least 5+ years of experience managing software projects and cross functional resources
Must have experience in product management (UX, UI, and QA)
You must be a self-starter, motivator and team builder; someone who enjoys creative problem solving
Demonstrated ability leading cross functional teams and building solid business cases and solutions; excellent analytical skills
Strong written and communication skills. Comfortable communicating at every organizational level, including senior leadership
Prior experience implementing, using and leveraging outsourcing strategies
Excellent ability multi-tasking and managing multiple projects and initiatives at once
Practical knowledge of software architecture and building technology stacks
Experience launching new products and features in an Agile environment

Further Qualifications and Skills that are considered a plus
PMP Certification
Ability to translate between functional users and technical staff
Excellent knowledge of web development technologies
Experience with DevOps, .NET, AWS or other cloud computing platforms
