The Systems Technical Specialist leads the administration, operational support and problem resolution in the technical engineering realm, departmental servers and desktop resources and other systems of a complex nature.

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    1. Installation and maintenance of the various medical department servers, or other technical systems.
    2. Maintains department backup and recovery in accordance with best practices.
    3. Configure and maintain all desktops within the departments.
    4. Manage and update a cloud Image Repository Sending Server with other designated Medical Centers.
    5. Create and maintain department active directory container group policy objects, user policy objects and desktop rights.
    6. Configure communications between modalities and outside vendors to send and receive handling, storing, printing, and transmitting information in medical imaging.
    7. Troubleshoot connectivity and data transfer issues with medical systems and other medical devices.
    8. Merge and maintain patient records in the picture archiving and communication systems.
    9. Works with outside expert individuals and firms when necessary.
    10. Trains medical staff on the systems utilized.
    11. Maintain department websites.
    12. Maintain third party servers and applications.
    13. Performs related duties as assigned or requested. Requirements:-- Education:
    Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related, or equivalent education and experience

    Five years of experience in computer operations, needed to prepare and maintain complex computer operations plans.

    Relevant systems/desktop support experience as indicated; familiarity with PACS system is preferred.

    Requires diplomacy, sound judgment, management skills, and ability to work effectively with all levels of professional staff.
