The OpportunityJust-Tech is seeking experienced, smart, committed Technology Support Associate Lv 2 to be full-time members of our progressive and innovative team. The Technology Support Associate Lv 2 will spend most of their time working directly with Just-Tech's clients, their staff members and their volunteers to help ensure that their systems and applications are fully operational and that they have the support need to optimally use their technology and delivery legal assistance. Just-Tech is currently seeking a Technology Support Associate Lv 2 based in the New York City area, working both at client sites and on occasion remotely. Technology Support Associates will be required to be available for client on-site work during regular business hours, as well as occasional off-hours, and occasional overnight travel be required.Just-Tech and its clients are primarily Microsoft shops with some Apple, Linux, and Solaris- based systems. Most of our clients use VoIP telephone solutions that are either premise or cloud-based. We support users who increasingly work outside of their offices and use laptops, tablets, smartphones, and MiFi devices that Just-Tech maintains and supports. Just-Tech can help train candidates whose skills might be lacking in particular areas but who would otherwise exceptionally capable and productive colleagues.Successful candidates will be highly motivated, resourceful, creative, and detail oriented. They will maintain grace under pressure and welcome the opportunity to learn unfamiliar technologies and business requirements. They must enjoy working as a member of a larger team but also have the skills, experience and confidence to work independently. Extra consideration will be given to candidates with work or volunteer experience in the legal community.Role and Responsibilities:The Technology Support Associate Lv 2 will assist the technical support unit in providing quality customer service under direct supervision of the Manager of Client Services in various assignments related to the function of the Help Desk and will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Provide friendly and helpful service to clients requesting technical support.
  • Act as Level 2 escalation for support tickets.
  • Use the helpdesk ticketing system to document problems, troubleshoot steps, verify problem resolution and run performance reports.
  • Participate in the rollout of new technology, hardware and software.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, cloud service and end user problems.
  • Supports the development of infrastructure and systems to meet the companys needs.
  • Work within a TCP/IP network environment, including DHCP, DNS and Ethernet.
  • Create and maintain Active Directory and Exchange/Office365 accounts.
  • Supports VoIP and legacy phone systems
  • Manages Microsoft group policy
  • Provide secondary support for the engineering team.
  • Create internal documentation of processes and procedures.
  • Create and help maintain client infrastructure documentation.
  • Install typical office IT equipment, such as computers, servers, printers, monitors, and switches, and scanners.
  • Install and deploy software as needed
  • Provide client support work at client sites as required.
  • Follow Just-Techs policies and procedures to include incident/problem escalation.
  • Demonstrate good social skills in a professional environment.Key Qualifications
    • 2+ years of HelpDesk or Tech Support experience, preferably at an MSP.
    • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or experience equivalent to same.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Desktop and Office Suite.
    • Hands-on experience working with Active Directory and Exchange/Office365
    • Skilled in establishing good working relationships with technical and non-technical clients.
    • Patience and respect for team members and clients.
    • Excellent plain language oral and written communication skills.
    • Experience working with end-users to identify and resolve their IT issues.
    • Knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS.
    • Knowledge of cabling/wiring, patch panelsPlusesExperience with:
      • Google Apps for Non-Profits and administration.
      • ConnectWise Manage & Automate
      • VMWare and VDI Solutions
      • VoIP or TDM telephone systems
      • Document imaging or management solutions
      • VB script or other coding
