Position Overview Daily Harvest is looking for a Software Engineering Intern to join our Engineering team. The Engineering team focuses on architecting, developing, and delivering highly scalable and innovative software that meets the needs of the Daily Harvest business and our customers. Daily Harvest is looking for a Software Engineering Intern to join our Services team. You will learn about how we build the platform that enables us to take care of food. As a member of our software engineering team, you'll get mentorship from other software engineers and learn how we ship the code that powers our entire business -- from robust microservices, to code that interfaces with our shipping providers, to inventory and operations management at scale. You'll be joining a group of inspired engineers who enjoy working together. What you'll do:

• Work with experienced software engineers to learn about the development of internal services, backend infrastructure, API development, and database design
• Identify and investigate bugs to determine appropriate fixes
• Participate in and contribute to development processes
• Assist in the creation of technical documentation Who you are:
  • Currently, pursuing an education in Computer Science or a related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics)
  • Interest in pursuing a career in software engineering
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with Python, Ruby, NodeJS, or equivalent high level programming language preferred
  • Experience with Relational Databases a plus
