Job Description:
POSITION PURPOSE The Business Developer is responsible for, but
not limited to, prospecting and maintaining referral sources by
creating, building and maintaining relationships.Responsibilities
include but are not limited to:Prospect - Hunting for new
prospective clients and for new segments of business that we can
get business fromKeep in contact with clients and inactive clients
through the phone, email, marketing materials and appointmentsBring
on new clients by using the phone, email, marketing materials and
appointmentsMaintain databaseCome up with ideas for Marketing and
"Touching" our Clients and ProspectsHosting and running company
events (golf outings, holiday parties etc.)Offer classes,
instruction and information regarding mitigation to clientsMaintain
personal sale and marketing budget and properly follow company
guidelines with sales and marketing budgetingNetworking with both
industry and non-industry Associations and Network GroupsKeeping
professional social media site (LinkedIn) up to date and current,
showing activity and interest in the industry, prospects and
clientsAssisting our clients and prospects with other connections
they need within the industryTo attend company recommended seminars
designed to better sales skillsDeal with issues as they arise on
jobs, collections, etc.Be available to help with jobs as neededHelp
with collections and anything else the office needs help with
(phones etc.)QUALIFICATIONS Technical Qualifications :Computer
communication basics Behavioral Qualifications:Ability to
communicate effectively Ability to cold call, drop in and engage in
different levels of face-to-face meetingsAbility to multi-task and
handle many issues, items, and functions at one time and deal
rapidly with multiple items in prioritized sequenceAbility to set
and prioritize goals and achieve them as scheduled Ability to be
flexible and adjust to rapidly changing requirements and
schedulesAbility to function in a fast-paced and possibly stressful
environment while maintaining a professional and collegial attitude
and demeanorExperience:1 or more years in selling a service
PREFERENCESExperience in selling to building services or insurance
industries WORK REQUIREMENTS Must be able to travel in assigned
territory either though mass transit or in a vehicle to attend
meetings or eventsMust be able to attend after hours industry
