The Enterprise Functions Technology (EFT) group provides technology solutions and support for Risk, Audit, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Corporate Properties, and Stakeholder Relations business lines. In addition, EFT provides unique technology solutions and innovation for Wells Fargo Technology, Enterprise Shared Services, and Enterprise Data Management. This combined portfolio of applications and tools are continually engineered to meet the challenges of stability, security, scalability, and speed.Compliance, Legal, Audit & Regulatory Technology (CLAR) provides technology support and development for Legal & Data Controls, Compliance Risk & Audit, Financial Crimes, Front Office and Second Line Risk, Employee Compliance, Regulator Regulations, Market Surveillance, and Regulator Change Management.The Agile Transformation Lead is a key position within the Compliance, Legal, Audit & Regulatory Control (CLAR) Technology group reporting into the Strategy and Planning Director. The expectation is that the team member will provide support and drive strategic initiatives to support Wells Fargo's Technologies Agile Transformation Roadmap.Position Responsibilities and Expected Outcomes:

  • Responsible for guiding and supporting our CLAR Technology agile teams through our transformation. Will work to aid in establishing disciplined, effective, cross functional agile teams which embrace and exhibit the agile mindset. Effectively leverage and combine different industry standards scaling concepts to specific business problems in a manner that best supports agile values and principles, as well as Wells Fargo Vision and Values.
  • Responsible for guiding teams on the first principle of Agile Coaching to deliver working software. Using domain knowledge, offers credible guidance to help teams organize around products with intention of minimizing handoffs, dependencies and delays which all contribute to organizational waste.
  • Develops collaborative working relationships with multiple levels of leaders, managers, and steering committees with a focus on growing organizational agility to enable the scaling of agile within the organization and line of business. Helps leaders understand associated continuous delivery implications and the structure required to sufficiently support the software.
  • Fosters maturation of agile mindset by asking powerful questions focusing on feedback loops, planning, scrum-of-scrums, identification of dependencies, release planning, empirical data for decision models, and ultimate delivery of work efforts.
  • Objectively informs/assists leaders in a non-biased manner to consider highly complex and long-term implications of transformation to self-governing teams; uses a systemic view in facilitating impediment removal at the team, product, and customer journey levels.
  • Provides strategic thought leadership during engagements on approaches to overcome impediments to accelerated delivery; skillfully facilitates conflict resolution with and between teams.
  • Fosters strong spirit of communication and collaboration between teams to align product goals, deliver final products, and ensure leadership transparency to impediments and progress.
  • This role will help define and maintain agile roadmaps and partner with key stakeholders and business partners and developing and fostering a path forward. They will be responsible to monitor and track progress on the migration journey from the waterfall practices and programs to the Agile based Product framework. They will develop and maintain metrics on progress and provide oversight and report on key objectives, such as number of teams, product journeys and team maturity levels.
  • This role will work closely with CIOs, Application Managers & Development Managers to understand their current state of agile adoption and work closely with the above to help migrate the applications onto the agile toolchain and improve the automation within the toolchain to address any issues that application teams may encounter by working with the CTO Product owners.
  • Some of the key attributes of a successful candidate will be the interpersonal skills in being able to communicate, collaborate and influence at all levels of the organization. Building trust and credibility with CIOs and CIO designates as well as CTO Product owners will be a mainstay.
  • Work as an advisor to more experienced leadership to influence technology matters to develop programs that are effective and efficient for highly complex business and technical needs across one or more lines of business
  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in depth evaluation across multiple lines of business or the enterprise
  • Deliver solutions that are long term, large scale, and which require understanding of organizational goals or priorities and technology to develop executable strategies and plans
  • Provide vision, direction, and expertise to more experienced leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions related to technology matters that are large scale, cross functional, or companywide
  • Engage with the technology team and more experienced leaders to provide support and drive strategic initiatives for the business and for execution of operational processes Required Qualifications:
    • 7+ years of Information Technology in support of Business Services experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following work experience, training, military experience, education
    • 7+ years of experience leading and executing complex technology transformational programs across an enterprise
    • 7+ years of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) methodologies experience
    • 7+ years of Agile experience
    • 3+ years of experience moving teams and organizations from Waterfall to Agile methodologies and Agile Transformations
    • 3+ years of experience defining, tracking and interpreting metrics to create transparency and identify trendsDesired Qualifications:
      • Previous Agile Transformation experience for a large organization similar to CLAR Technology
      • Experience in Information Technology in support of Business Services, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
      • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate across all organizational levels
      • Ability to be proactive, innovative, and creative in meeting customer and enterprise needs
      • Knowledge and understanding of system application development including large scale applications
      • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
      • A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technologyJob Expectations:
