The Senior Wireless Support Specialist will provide support of the Mobile Device Management (MDM) System and Parks wireless devices which include but not limited to smartphones, MiFi's and tablets. This role requires the incumbent to troubleshoot matters ranging from basic customer service issues to a more in-depth level of technical support and advanced problem-solving. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIESUnder supervision, with latitude for independent initiate and decision making, assist in managing, publishing and troubleshooting issues within the Workspace One MDM System.Participate in training ITT Wireless staff on MDM procedures and policies.Complete ITT Wireless Service Requests and Work Orders to ensure Parks users receive assistance with mobile issues.Manage large quantities of data entry regarding Parks mobile device inventory and information in our asset management system.Prepare, activate and set-up devices for users and provide tutorials as needed.Manage and publish Parks device policies for users.Collect old devices for refurbishment or recycling. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSA baccalaureate degree from an accredited college including or supplemented by 24 semester credits in voice telecommunications (telephone, radio, microwave, fiber optic and cellular service) telecommunications technology, electronics, physics, and/or planning and analysis of electronic systems, and one year of satisfactory full-time experience in the performance of analytical, planning, operational, technical, and/or administrative duties in a voice telecommunications or closely-related electronics planning, electronics management, and/or electronics service environment; orAn associate degree from an accredited college including or supplemented by 12 semester credits in voice telecommunications (telephone, radio, microwave, fiber optic and cellular service), telecommunications technology, electronics, physics, and/or planning and analysis of electronic systems and two years of the experience described in --1-- above; orA four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a state's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and three years of the experience described in --1-- above; orA satisfactory combination of education and/or experience equivalent to --1--, --2-- or --3-- above. College education not used for meeting the minimum requirements in --1-- or --2-- above may be substituted for experience on the basis of each 30 semester credits of undergraduate college education, including or supplemented by 6 semester credits in voice telecommunication (telephone, radio, microwave, fiber optic and cellular service), telecommunications technology, electronics, physics, and/or planning and analysis of electronic systems for six months of experience described in --1-- above, up to a maximum of two years experience. However, all candidates must have at least a four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and at least one year of the experience described in --1-- above. Residency in New York City, Nassau, Orange, Rockland, Suffolk, Putnam or Westchester counties required for employees with over two years of city service. New York City residency required within 90 days of hire for all other candidates. PREFERRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONSExperience with Workspace One MDM System.Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.Strong understanding of technical support experience.Demonstrated ability with Android, iOS, and Windows applications.
