We're looking for a seasoned Communications Manager to support T-Mobile's fast-growing Advertising Solutions business, which is focused on connecting brands with their key audiences by providing relevant, data-driven content. T-Mobile Advertising Solutions goal is to give brands the ability to connect with key consumers with the right message at the right time on the right device to drive the right action.

The ideal candidate is recognized for driving top-notch Ad Tech news and storytelling programs for leading technology or consumer brand(s). This would include relevant experience effectively delivering on Ad Tech news/communications plans and execution for new products, customer, partnership, and Merger/Deal/Acquisition announcements, as well as content and project management for advertising industry events speaking engagements and interviews. This would also include expertise in developing and advising on media disclosure, engagement and thought leadership strategies for senior executives. As a key part of this role, you will be responsible for rallying and driving alignment with various partners across the company to deliver results, while also collaborating with communications partners - across exec social, events, employee comms and more - to complete best-in-class work.

** This is a hybrid role (3 days/week in the office) and ideally based in New York, NY. We can also consider Bellevue, WA or Frisco, TX as additional locations **Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the strategic comms lead for T-Mobile Advertising Solutions helping develop short- and long-term plans and metrics.
  • Act as the lead for all proactive/reactive Ad Tech news and events, coordinating with business and comms partners to drive plans, messaging/materials, media engagement and execution for the following:
  • Advertising industry events
  • Product launches
  • Partnership announcements
  • Merger/Deal/Acquisitions
  • Customer wins/storytelling
  • Establish and maintain high-touch relationships with key advertising industry media outlets, and seek out opportunities to re-direct, shape and land narratives that are supportive of T-Mobile Advertising Solutions business goals; also manage reactive inquiries.
  • Serve as the trusted, go-to authority for T-Mobile Advertising Solutions information and stats, coordinating regularly with a variety of internal partners (Marketing, Sales, Operations, Corp Comms, Govt Affairs, etc).
  • Work with internal partners to develop an editorial calendar and develop a steady cadence of content (contributed articles, op-eds, etc).Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in communications/PR/journalism or related field
    • -8+ yrs experience working in a fast-paced Corporate Comms teams ideally for a large corporation and/or ad-tech PR agency
    • Strong ad-tech industry experience and understanding of advertising solutions platforms and channels (e.g. mobility data, multiscreen solutions, and emerging channels like DOOH and rideshare)
    • Strong eye for business and experience developing creative, effective approaches to complex comms challenges
    • Highly strategic, ability to think clearly and exercise good judgement quickly on complicated issues
    • Strong executive presence and ability to adapt strategically in real-time.
    • Relationships and experience working with ad-tech and advertising industry media
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally within an organization to get results
    • Skilled at project management and multi-tasking
    • Strong communication skills including writing, editing, proofreading and presentation
