Job Description:

IS Architect - Shared Services (Integration) for Stryker Corporation in

Allendale, NJ to serve as key contributor to the design and delivery of

data driven platforms and strategies within the Enterprise Architecture

(EA) Group. Facilitate strategy and general design of integration across

internal systems and external business transactions. Support the

architecture design and delivery of global system platforms for application

integration. Create and enforce standards and design patterns for

integration. Serve as a domain expert in all areas of system integration.

Provide education and training for service-oriented integration

technologies and patterns to technical staff. Review architecture and

technology involved with integration components of larger projects. Develop

prototypes for new integration projects. Write high-quality technical

documentation, including creating technical documentation for architected

solutions. Support design and proposal for global, service-oriented

integration platform with support for internal, heterogeneous application

integration and external transactions. Establish shared infrastructure for

internal and external integration projects, including platform deployment,

service definitions and internal procedures to ensure service-level

commitment. Requires: Bachelor's degree or foreign education equivalent in

Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or Mechanical

Engineering plus ten (10) years of experience applying Service Oriented

Architecture to implement application integration projects and initiatives

or, alternatively, a Master's degree and eight years of experience as noted

above. Specific skills/other requirements (quantitative experience

requirements not applicable to this section): designing and analyzing

integration systems following Service Oriented Architecture, Web Services

and B2B methodologies; troubleshooting issues across multiple applications

using Oracle Fusion Middleware, including OSS, OSB, MFT and EDI components;

leading a team and providing education and training to junior staff for

service-oriented integration technologies and patterns, including Oracle

SOA Suite, Oracle Service bus, BPEL, XSLT, Xquery, AQ, MQ, Database, File

and FTP Adapters; defining IS system build requirements for integration

components of larger projects, including project schedule development and

adherence, functional resource alignment, and resource budget management;

reviewing and enforcing standards around global design architectural

patterns; developing new integration project criteria and facilitating

quality technical designs for solutions which support architecture design

for global system platforms; and facilitating and driving technical
