Activities include, advising leaders in defining specific talent priorities, educating employees at all levels on HR solutions, representing HR's perspective in business decisions, and ensuring business perspectives are represented in HR objectives. This HR Business Partner position will support senior Technology leaders, which includes managing strategic projects, guiding business leaders through organizational design and staffing decisions, and helping managers through complex organizational change.The role reports to the VP, Human Resources for New York Life Investment Management and Technology and is based in New York, NY. Key Responsibilities:--- Defines and executes workforce planning and strategies.--- Identifies the current and future talent needs to evaluate and develop bench strength.--- Provides day to day performance management guidance to line management.--- Determines business issues requiring compensation solutions.--- Manages strategies to identify and develop talent at all levels of the organization.--- Maintains in depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.--- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.--- Provides guidance on policies, procedures and communications.--- Leads established HR activities such as the performance management process, employee engagement survey, annual compensation program, and talent review.--- Partners with HR delivery areas to identify solutions to business needs and implement core HR programs and policies including talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits, organizational development, diversity, compensation and systems.--- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues Qualifications: --- Bachelors degree is required. Experience that provides the depth and breadth required to be recognized as an expert in HR, specifically in talent management, talent review, and succession planning.--- 10 + years HR experience with a demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development.--- Experience working with Investments and/or Technology clients a plus.--- Strong interpersonal skills; tactful, good negotiator, and proven ability to influence and persuade others, including senior leaders.--- Experience identifying and solving unique and complex problems that require the application of analytical, conceptual and innovative thinking.--- Flexibility to changing priorities, and ability to successfully multi-task.--- Adaptable and flexible with strong collaboration skills and organizational awareness.--- Experience guiding organizational change efforts.--- Demonstrated ability to thrive and perform in an ever-changing, fast-paced and demanding environment.--- A high learning agility and well-developed business acumen.
