SUMMARY Based in New York, this role will join the People & Culture team as an advocate of our culture and people related objectives and practices. You'll help to execute on a variety of people initiatives supporting employees and managers. Work closely with the rest of the People & Culture team, you will be responsible for implementing, communicating and providing training resulting from any project work. The day-to-day work of this role will also support all stages of the employee lifecycle for employees, including delivery of employee onboarding, facilitating manager training, working to resolve employee queries and managing data You are expected to have impeccable communication, project management, and ability to partner across teams and geographies. As a member of a small team, you'll be expected to work independently and to take on new responsibilities as the need arises. WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Partner with managers and People & Culture Business Partners to understand and resolve local issues
  • Work with the business to develop proactive solutions to recurring team challenges
  • Act as the first point of contact in HR for employees and managers
  • Manage HR project work and roll-out of HR initiatives.--
  • Manage orientation and onboarding for new employees
  • Support processes through the employee life cycle including performance development, organizational change and conduct issues
  • Deliver training to support manager development
  • Complete regular audits on a monthly and annual basis and necessary admin
  • Responsible for maintaining employee data and transactions.
  • Review HR processes and suggesting changes to improve efficiency and scalability

      • Earned a BS/BA in a related field
      • Have 2+ years experience of working in a HR Coordinator or Generalist role, preferably in a start-up environment.
      • You have a broad knowledge and understanding of US employment laws.
      • You possess excellent communication, organization, and data management skills
      • You're able to prioritize well and be flexible in a fast paced environment with changing demands
      • You've demonstrated the ability to provide a solution focused approach to problem solving
