PACKAGING DESIGNER Part-time, Contract Opportunity POSITION PURPOSE The Packaging Designer position will support the product development team for private label packaging across--our client. Responsibilities include designing a variety of packaging for all our product categories, working with the product managers and the various suppliers.--Major tasks in this assignment include project facilitation and consistent interpretation of brand creative direction across multiple brands for seasonal, core--and promotional initiatives. Communication, prioritization and organization are key skills needed to accomplish this multi-tasking position. As a member of the Product Development team, this position is also crucial to the integrity of delivering the brand's promise and customer experience through packaging design and copy. MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES * 50%-----Partner with key business partners to execute and manage packaging design--development * 30%-----Project facilitation with all the different team members to ensure timelines are met and including--proofing * 20% ---Benchmark brand creative vs. competitors to ensure creative treatments represent current brand--positioning PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * 5 Years prior experience in creative packaging design * Computer skills to create design direction and mechanical--executions SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES * Knowledge or experience with creative packaging design * Cross-functional multi-project facilitation * Packaging process operations/development * Conceptualization * File Organization * Mockup creation * Knowledge of printing processes * Brand Standard creation and updates Calculated Hire provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, citizenship, disability, genetic information, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status,--amnesty--or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
