Primary Responsibilities:

* Coordinate Medical Records Processing which includes placing charts
* Support nursing units, physicians, Case Management and Patient Service Access
* Moderate work experience within own function
* Some work is completed without established procedures
* Basic tasks are completed without review by others
* Supervision / guidance is required for higher level tasks
* Additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

* High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
* 6+ months of customer service experience
* Experience with Microsoft Word (create correspondence and work within templates), Microsoft Excel (data entry, sort / filter), and Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar management)
* Ability to navigate a PC to open applications, send emails, and conduct data entry
* Ability to work 37.5 hours a week during the hours of operation Monday through Friday starting between 8:00 am until 4:00 pm
* Candidates must also have the flexibility to adjust daily schedule and work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed
* Employees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Associate's Degree (or higher)
* Experience in Hospital, Physician's office setting, Healthcare Insurance Company, revenue cycle vendor and / or other revenue cycle - related role
* Knowledge of Medical Terminology
* Previous experience in EMR (Electronic Medical Records)
* Clerical experience

Soft Skill:

* Ability to evaluate situations and respond appropriately to requestors needs
