We have a challenging opportunity for FT AP - Analyst I to work in the BGS US office in NYC. Job Summary: The AP - Analyst I, reporting to the AP Supervisor is responsible for the day to day processing and monitoring of accounts payable transactions with our Affiliates in/out of US and bookkeeping duties to ensure that finances are maintained in an effective, up to date, and accurate manner according to the company's established policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities: Review Intercompany CH invoices and process them in coordination with the SSC in Colombia. Ensure charges adhere to tariffs/rates and proper coding is done for all Intercompany from affiliates. Prepare reports for analysis revenue vs cost for CH GS cost. Collect and review and process all BTC invoices received, and prepare reports for analysis revenue vs cost. Work with GS branches in adhering to rate schedule and resolve billing errors. Upload weekly CH and BTC invoices into BITS for price and margin analysis. Work with management and BGS departments to address any unbilled transactions, missing jobs and/or non profitable shipments. Fill out CH Query forms to obtain credits regarding billing errors. Follow up on outstanding credit issues to ensure management team records proper accruals and open issues and resolved. Make certain all international accrual cost are accounted for month end close. Prepare monthly affiliate accrual report with properly coded ground support charges. Ensure all month end CH expenses are accounted for in proper period to eliminate out of period entries. Minimum Qualifications: 2 years' experience in the accounting field. Strong data entry skills Strong detail orientation and strives for accuracy Strong analytical skills to investigate and research invoice discrepancies Proven ability to take direction and execute tasks autonomously, accurately, and efficiently Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills Clear and transparent communication in both verbal and written ability Strong interpersonal skills and able to adapt interaction approach to build effective relationships Skilled in working with individuals from different cultures Courage to bring forth ideas to increase efficiency/improve ways of working Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors of Science Degree in Finance or Accounting Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated knowledgeable of the accepted accounting principles (FASB & GAAP). Professional Skills: High level of integrity where personal and professional values are aligned with the company's mission, vision and leadership framework. Self-aware and self-motivated - comfortable operating with minimal direction and will thrive in a dynamic environment as a leader influencing change and transformation. Responsive performance driven Experience with financial statement preparation for a multi-entity organization, month-end, journal entries and solid analysis experience. Exposure to budgeting and account reconciliations. Experience working with a fully integrated accounting system preferred. Experience engaging in process improvement initiatives.
